Lawn Girl

The name gave me high hopes. Unfortunately not the fresh cut grass note I was looking for. There was a prominent ashy note that overshadowed the grass and magnolia for me.

I wasn't sure about grass in perfume, but this smells so good — dewy and vibrant green notes that bring to mind freshly trimmed grass and sweet clover. The fragrance of blooming magnolia fills the air, rich and creamy with glimmers of juicy lemon. Balmy skin musk slowly emerges, creating a soft, summer glow that feels warm and inviting.

This scent is incredibly nostalgic, it reminds me of summer afternoons as a kid, relaxing on the porch with a book as my parents finished mowing the lawn, and the humidity drew out the heady fragrance of southern magnolias.

Mhmm! Hot n' grassy opening that initially, I perceived as a heated metallic smell. Then I realized it's because it distinctively reminds me of the smell of grass in the act of being mowed. (I want to roll in it!) It's stay is brief. The scent settles in quickly to the scent of cut grass softened by a woody green - fresh n' creamy magnolia, & a warm, glowing skin musk. Towards the scent's end, I mostly pick out the musk & creamy blossoms. It's an atmospheric scent in the beginning that transitions to a your-skin-but-better. On fabric, I can pick out the listed notes crystal clear. On skin, I get a quick grassy opening, than a dry down of gentle magnolia blossom + balmy musk with good longevity.

I had high hopes for this perfume and it did not disappoint! An absolutely gorgeous blend of fresh spring grass and lush magnolia. The skin musk adds a "your skin but better" note and helps ground the scent. The magnolias feel cool to me, as if they're still a little damp from morning dew. Combined with that fresh lawn note, this is an uplifting summer fragrance. If I had to choose just one perfume for the hottest weeks of summer, it would be this one! ❤️ Good longevity and moderate sillage.

For me, this is exactly what it says on the tin! Fresh cut grass, magnolia blossoms, and a bit of musky skin. Good throw and longevity for me too. Absolutely delightful! I don’t have many magnolia trees where I live now so this is very nostalgic for me :) also shipping, packaging, & customer experience were great for me.
